This week we took our images that we shot over spring break and made a layout with them. I resized and toned all three photo's and also made copies for the internet.
To resize and tone I took the pictures, changed the brightness and contrast so there was no color that was excessive. I also changed the sharpness on the images. I cropped all the unneeded elements.
I then created the layout, The Nichols Bridgeway is the focus because I am mostly talking about art and architecture in the city. I then created captions that did not take away from the images by using a muted font, but making it bold so it will still be seen.
The headline I used was cheesy, "Sweet Home Chicago," but I used the word Chicago to make people look at the photo of the Nichols Bridgeway. I chose black and red because they weren't too showy but they still grab attention.
I like what you did with "Chicago." I'm a sucker for a red, white and black color scheme, as it always looks nice and allow you to highlight certain aspects of your design. Overall, this is nice, but I would like to see less white space.
