Black and White Composition

The black and white composition was our first assignment. We just had to experiment with shapes, shades, and movement. I tried to show an array of movement with all the different shapes falling down towards the gray circle at the bottom.

Color Composition

The assignment today was to use shape and color to represent an emotion. The emotion I chose was joy. The movement of the image shows the build up of joy, starting out as nothing and then exploding like a volcano and becoming hazy when hitting the high of joy. The colors are all bright and the shapes are a bit frantic. I chose both cool and warm colors to represent that there is a buzzing feeling and it is not just one set thing when you are filled with joy. The movement again, goes from the bottom to the top.
